Good Dealer. I am recommending them because I just bought a 1987 Suzuki GSXR 750 from them, and this bike is hot. The people there were always friendly, but more importantly, they were knowledgeable about the bike. They knew the specs. It is 2004, and I was buying a 1987 model, so naturally, I expected some inperfections, but it is really in great shape. The best decision I made in the process of buying this bike was to spend the extra $200 for their set up and service. They made sure the bike was in great shape by going over it top to bottom and fixing whatever was necessary. Also, it is impossible for me to describe how clean this bike is. I just picked it up, and it looks awesome. They got everything so clean. I got the bike at a great price, and I will buy from them again. Thanks.

In February of 2003 I purchased a brand new 2001 cbr 929rr erion racing edition motorcycle. Everything went
great until June 5 2003. I brought my bike in for its first service getting everything ready for the next weekend in laconia NH. June 6th I receive a call at work stating there was an accident with my bike. It appearers while taking my new bike with 657 miles on it the mechanic lay ed it down and caused over 7100 dollars in damage i kept my cool and talked with mtr on what we were going to do about it. Needless to say I went to laconia bike-less and rode bitch on a girls Harley. And now its June 7th and i still have no bike or check. Accidents happen the only thing that upset me is the owner Jeff who knows who i am has not even said A word to me not sorry nothing and its not like I'm not in there everyday Ive spent over 3000 dollars in accessories right after i bought my bike. I also have a 10% discount on anything I buy there and I will NEVER go back and give them my business not even for a spark plug.

I recently purchased a Kawasaki Vulcan 800 from MTR. This is the first new
bike purchase for me. I have had used bikes before. Alan and Jeff were very
accommodating to me. I had been in a couple of times and both had talked to
me and taken the time to explain the difference between the bikes I was
looking at. Alan explained how the bike has to fit you, like purchasing a
really good pair of sneakers. Well after sitting on a half dozen bikes I
chose the Kawasaki. Alan was quick to point out they had a left over 2001
which would save me a few hundred dollars. I was pleased with this and set
out to apply for financing. Nicole was most helpful to me. Unfortunately I
had difficulty attaining credit due to unforeseen inaccuracies in my credit
report. Well while I figured what to do, Alan offered to hold the bike for
me, seeing it was the last one. Well to shorten a long story a bit. They
held the bike for a month while Nicole and I worked on alternatives. They
didn't have to accommodate me, I am sure they would have sold that bike in a
flash. I have noticed a couple of comments trashing the dealership perhaps
that was when they were just starting out. I have not had to use service of
course as of yet, but from this first dealing with them I am very satisfied
with everything there. I have purchased parts there before and Dave has been
very helpful with that and always got the parts when promised. Anyway I
thinks they are worth a try.

I have mixed feelings about this dealership, but ultimately would not recommend it. I'm a new rider and last September decided on a Honda Nighthawk (CB-750) for my starter bike after taking the MSF course. MTR is close to me (I live in Bellingham) and was the only local choice. I don't have a trailer and so didn't want to choose a dealer a hour or more away. I talked to Jeff (the owner/head mechanic/head salesperson) after a lengthy wait in the showroom and discussed bikes. He did not have the Hawk in stock and we agreed MTR would order one and I did the paperwork, financing, etc. Well, the administrative staff at MTR were fantastic, getting all the paperwork done, staying on top of thing, etc. But, Jeff had to deal with the factory about the bike and it took weeks to finally get the thing ordered and delivered. It bothered be because I was counting on utilizing the last bit of good riding weather and lost a lot of it. I finally got the bike and rode home, pretty happy.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I had only put about 450 miles on the bike, only running errands, and had kept it garaged. One day I noticed the clutch lever seemed loose. Before the next ride, I looked and to my shock noticed the clutch level pivit bolt was entirely gone. I called MTR service and spoke to a person who told me it was probably stolen off the bike, which I doubted given the few rides I had taken with the fact that I never left it parked out longer than 15 mins or so. Anyway, after discussing on the phone, he agreed to pull a new bolt off a bike on the floor (they didn't stock the part) to get me going. I told him I would be by in an hour or so, he said fine. Hours later, I finally made it there. Went to parts, waited in line for 15 mins, explained why I was visiting, no one there knew what I was talking about. Referred me to service, and I waited there a few more mins before I explained again to the service guy there. He knew nothing about it. Suddenly, a man behind him working on a bike chimes in "That was me you talked to", and I realize it's Jeff himself. He looks bothered at the disturbance. I again ask about the part, and he says he will talk to parts, which he does. 15 more minutes of waiting, no one has helped me or so much as looked in my direction. I interrupt Jeff again, and then he says in an accusing tone "if I take the bolt off a new bike, I can't sell it..". I don't understand, on the phone he offers to do it, and now in person he gives me a hard time. Well, at this point I was pretty upset and I guess he saw it. He finally got up from what he was doing, went in the back lot, and bought out a Nighthawk. I realized he didn't even have the thing on the floor to sell yet and he's giving me a hard time about it! Takes all of 30 seconds and I have the part. He made me pay for them too, figuring this was not a warranty repair, though he promised to give me a refund if Honda would cover the part.
This shop is too small and everything seems to have to go through Jeff to get done. I get the feeling that his friends get treated well, but an unknown new customer like me isn't important. Which really shows his lack of business sense - because to give me a hard time over a $6 bolt for a brand new bike under warranty guaranteed him that I will not shop MTR when upgrade to a 1000-1500cc bike, which will probably be in the next year. I don't plan on using them for regular service either.

As everyone knows, I'm a fan of Razee's Motorcycles in North Kingstown, RI.
Great friendly people in service, sales and parts. They sell Honda, Kawi, Yamaha, BMW,
Ducati......Very large showroom and prices are negotiable. I usually compare their
stuff with what I can find on the web. Then go in and bargain. I like
supporting them so I don't mind paying a little over what I can find elsewhere. The coffee
is always fresh and free. (donations are a social obligation). The parts dept showcases
are a little too heavy towards the dirt bikes but not too bad. The service dept is first
rate, with a tremendous depth of knowledge and experience. The only negative is they have
such a loyal following they are busy all the time. They spend so much time with each
customer that it's hard to get in and out if you're in a hurry. Not a bad trade off
though.

Razee's
Razee is a top-notch dealership. And, it's an old-fashioned one where on any given day, there are at 25 guys there just BS-ing, talking bikes, drinking coffee, etc. They really make you feel welcome. Prices are good, too.

Honda World is another good dealership. When I bought my '89 Katana 750 from them, I had 2 bikes to sell, which they sold for me from their lot, all for the low, low consignment fee of 0% <== NOT a typo!! Also, threw in a service manual for me. As far as Suzuki dealerships, they are the only one around the RI area I will deal with any more. They were a good place to do business before they got their Honda franchise, and got better afterwards!!

1. They have 2 locations - Johnston & Woonsocket. Johnston is just parts and service, Woonsocket is their dealership - Suzuki & Kawasaki.
2. I ordered parts from them (just some bulbs - no big deal). They had me pay up front, and said I didn't need a slip. My fault here - I said OK, it's just a few bucks. I checked back when they said they would be in, and they didn't know anything about any bulbs being ordered. Since I had no slip, no proof. Guess I bought someone at the shop a 6-pack. That was the last time I ever went in there.
3. Right after they opened in Woonsocket, I brought my bike for service. The owner/head wrench had been recommended to me by a friend. I met with the owner, told him I wanted the bike completely freshened up - major tune-up, check everything, fix a few stripped bolt holes, etc etc etc. He said no problem, and that he would personally do all the work - I explained to him that this was the first time since my 600mi service that anyone other than myself had been allowed to work on my bike (except for one warranty service). 4 weeks later, he calls to tell me that everything was all set. Great. First thing I noticed was the mechanic's name on the work order was not the owner's. When I asked why not, I was told that since they were getting the dealership set up, that the owner didn't have the time to do all the work personally. I wasn't happy, but I figured the work should still be ok.
Brought the bike home - it felt great on the ride. The next morning, it would not start!! Finally, it fired up, but was only running on 2 cylinders. Since the shop is near my home, I rode it in, and explained the problem. Well, it seemed like I was really putting them out by wanting the problem fixed ahead of scheduled appointments. After a big enough stink on the showroom floor, they agreed to look at it. 3 days later, I called for an update. The guy tells me that he has to take the whole bike apart again to figure out the problem, and to call back next week. Next week he called me, and said it was all set now, and he was really sorry, blah blah blah. Something about a wire not being connected properly. Fine. Next morning - same problem!! So, I pull the tank off for a look-see, and I was shocked. All the wiring was basically just thrown on top of the engine without any proper routing or zip-ties. I straightened that all out, and went to check my plugs. When I went to pull the plug cap off one, the wire was barely attached to the plug cap. I have aftermarket coils & wires - of the "make it yourself" variety (Accel), and they must have pulled the wire off the connector and never reconnected it, even though it was very obvious. I fixed it myself, and everything was fine - started and ran like a charm.
First stop? MTR. I told the owner what I found, and basically he didn't believe me, and gave me the brush off. Later, I was having some work done at Honda-Suzuki World, and the service manager there called and asked me if someone had recently tried fixing some stripped threads, because they were all botched up. They fixed them properly for me. I have heard similar storied from several friends. New bikes that don't work due to improper assembly. Missing optional equipment on new bikes. Customers ordering parts, waiting for them, calling to check and being told "they never came in", while they were hanging on the racks for the general public to buy, etc, etc, etc.
If you want a Honda in RI - Razee or Honda-Suzuki World. No question, but it's a toss-up between those two.
Sorry for the rambling reply, but I wanted you to have all the details!
