Let me start off bye saying this "DO NOT, DO NOT, STEP INTO BURBANK KAWSAKI" these people are liars, stealers, they double talk , their prices are bogus , its always up and down and never have correct answers or if they do it does not relate to your questions, NOW! in '02 when the Kawi Mean Streaks were new i decided to walk into a local dealer (Burbank Kawasaki) and buy me the bike ," biggest mistake i ever did!"

First: i was never acknowledged until i had to ask them about the prices, they had smiles on their face all of a sudden, Leon (owner) was the guy to approach me then Marcello (owner????mgr.???) tried to close the deal without even asking!! they spoke so fast i didn't understand one word, with their damn accent (not to be prejudice), what they have done to me is beyond the stealing of my personal rights!!!!

They overcharged me on the extended warranty. I needed a cosigner in order to buy the bike, so i said OK! I got a cosigner, BIG MISTAKE! But they never included me on the registration (BIG PROBLEM). They never called/sent me anything about my first tune up, or second and so on.. recall(s).... They always have me on hold when i call for a part or a simple question! A young man with glasses, Hispanic looking, will always tell you that they are busy and that i should call later or come in! When asked for Leon or Marcello they reply they are not here.... how can i help you!!! BS.

The owner(s) Leon & Marcello are never there but when you walk in, they some how are sitting in the office eating and pretending they never saw you or have done business with you. The mechanics kinda tried to intimidate me with their tools if you know what i mean!! My experience with these people has caused a bad relationship with my family (cosigner). They can't provide me with any kind of help. Now i have made several complaints, with the state of CA. and BBB - no response. I'm very upset that i have to deal with these assholes !! What can i do? I hope they go down with their business, so future customers will not have to suffer, IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT WANTS TO SHUT THEM DOWN OR HAVE THEIR LICENCE SUSPENDED OR PROVOKED LET ME KNOW OR LET SOMEONE KNOW !!!PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE! (THESE WERE EXAMPLES OF A FEW THINGS THAT THEY HAVE DONE AND IT STILL CONTINUES!) Thanks for reading and good luck!!

Although I purchased my 04 suzuki Volusia at NE Cycle in Hartford, I have been having it serviced at Columbia Motorsports in Columbia. While people have told me there is no reason I can't perform most of the routine maintence myself, as I have done for years with my own vehicles, being my first motorcycle experience, for now I feel more comfortable bringing the bike in for normal servicing. I, like most others, have had good/bad experiences with service departments and as a result, tend to shy away unless totally necessary. However, my 3 visits so far to the service department at Columbia Motorsports for routine maintenance all have been positive. Their appointment schedule is not backlogged and I truly feel they do take care of the bike as if it were one of their own. The rates are reasonable and till now, feel comfortable knowing when I pick up my bike,it will be done correctly and running well. The staff is very friendly, attentitive, and responsive to ones needs. A magazine article hangs on the wall by the service department interviewing the stores owner who feels hes just an average guy who just wants to run an business people can feel comfortable dealing with. As of now he has made me a very satisfied customer. Thumbs up.

I just want to say if this was the only service center in town, I still wouldn't go to them. I paid for a 6,800 mi. service on my bike. They work from a checklist, I know because I received the yellow copy and everything on the list was checked off. However, upon inspection of my bike, after I got home, I discovered that there were things checked off, that had NOT been checked. For example, my radiator was DRY. DRY DRY DRY. My tires, were not where they should have been, and I know the oil filter was not changed. It was the same road-grimed one I went in with. My final drive oil was low, (I didn't notice that one for a day or two). So, I went in and all they would do is top off my radiator. I took care of tire pressure, and the only proof about the oil filter was that I knew it was the same one I rode in with. As I look at this checklist now, I see things that are not listed in the 6,800 mi. service, checked off, and I'm getting angrier still. I posted a complaint on the Kawasaki Complaint Station, and it only lasted a day or two before someone had it removed. I guess complaints of fraudulent service practice, rubbed someone the wrong way. Well, you know something, too bad. These people ripped me off, and when I called them back again, they told me, and I quote. "If you don't trust us to do the work, go somewhere else," and then hung up. Service,(or the lack thereof) with a smile. That's got to take the cake. Trust them? HHAA !!

I was disturbed to see anyone say anything good about L.A. Cycle sports in Inglewood California. I bought a Suzuki sv650s there and disagree that they should be recommended. The salesman was nice..but took off to get lunch from the cart and ate it in front of me while we talked. I could get over that except that but when I asked about helmets, he pointed to a wall and said look over there ( guess he was hungry). I got a great price on a lemon. I had the bike 7 days when the engine blew because it had been sold to me with no oil in it. The bike was brought back to them and they assured me that it was just a bad oil pump. It took 2 1/2 months to get the bike back. They told me this was standard and I couldnt believe that. I called and called and they blamed the warranty company. I decided to call the warrranty company myself and they told me they knew nothing about my bike. Of course I freaked and called the dealership again. I spoke with person after person- manager after manager....no one would return my calls and no one gave a sh*t. I had to drive there in person and wait for someone to deal with me. I finally got my bike back and had it for about 3 weeks and the oil pump went again. I refused to take it back there and the warrenty company allowed me to take it somewhere else considering the circumstances. I went to Motorcycle Performance on LaBrea in Hollywood (323-939-2370). They were fast... thorough....and no BS. Dont go to L.A.Cyclesports...run don't walk...away from that place

I am outraged by the unscrupulous business practices of Del Amo Motorsports, located at 2500 Marine Ave, Redondo Beach, CA 90278. In particular Del Amo Motorsports refuses the refund my deposit of $500.00, despite the fact that they did not deliver a Yamaha Vino 125, silver color within one week as promised. Withholding my deposit without delivering any service or goods amounts to pure and unadulterated robbery.

Here is what happened when I tried to purchase a scooter from Del Amo Motorsports:

1. On Saturday 01/03/04 I went to Del Amo Motorsports to purchase a Yamaha Vino 125, silver color, scooter.

2. Daniel Delgado, who is a salesman with Del Amo Motorsports, informed me that the dealership does not have the above-mentioned scooter in stock, but that they can obtain one. When I asked how long it would take to get the scooter, he assured me that he would be able to get the scooter by Wednesday 01/07/04, or Saturday 01/10/04 the latest.

3. As I was willing to wait for a few days, I gave Del Amo Motorsports a deposit of $500.00.

4. Daniel Delgado assured me that he would keep me apprised of the dealership's progress in obtaining the scooter.

5. On Wednesday 01/07/04 Daniel Delgado called and left a phone message stating that he could not find the scooter and that he will call me again by the end of the week.

6. As the weekend passed without Daniel Delgado calling back, I phoned him. His answer was again vague. He told me that he could not locate the scooter and that he does not know when Del Amo Motorsports will be able to do so.

7. The following week passed without any call from Daniel Delgado, so I decided to phone him to inquire about the status of my order. Again, he was unable to provide any concrete and useful information in regards to the dealership's efforts to locate the scooter. Moreover he told me that he could not solve this problem without the help of his supervisor, who is a very busy and important person and is not available to address such a minor and insignificant issue as mine.

8. On Thursday 01/15/04, because Del Amo Motorsports did not deliver on it's promise to procure the scooter, and did not show any progress within the promised time frame, I called a few other Yamaha dealers located in the LA basin and within 10 minutes I found the desired scooter.

9. On Friday evening, 01/16/04, after I called Daniel Delgado and after I verified that Del Amo Motorsports still did not have any hard news about the scooter, I proceeded and purchased the scooter from another Yamaha dealer.

10. On Saturday morning, 01/17/04, when I went to Del Amo Motorsports and asked for my deposit I was informed by Daniel Delgado that the dealership is not willing to reimburse me. It is worth mentioning that in the discussion that ensued, Daniel Delgado's threatening behavior was quite unprofessional.

It is quite incredible that after not being able to deliver on its commitment, Del Amo Motorsports can take such an irrational, non-business like, customer "disoriented" stand. How can, in this day and age, Del Amo Motorsports, who also represents Yamaha, treat its customers in this fashion?

It is also amazing that Del Amo Motorsports tolerates on its floor Daniel Delgado's type of behavior, or Paschoal Revitte's childish unwillingness "to cooperate" (to use his own words) and put customers in touch with his supervisor, or provide his full name.

Del Amo Motorsports has quite a nice show floor. But what a pity, I will never step in it again.

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER... Avoid it like the plague!!! If you value competence and knowledge, this is definitely not the place to go. I called their parts department on a Friday afternoon (I even went out of my way to give the exact stock part numbers for my ZX-7) to see if they have the parts that I needed in stock and/or give me a quote. The first person jotted down the part numbers and told me that he will call me back. After some time, I asked for the person I spoke to for the quote and I was suggested to come by instead since they were apparently too busy.. So I asked as to what would be the purpose of me coming by there if they don't happen to have the parts in stock?? The best response that I got was..."uuhh....well? you'll just have to come by..we can't help you over the phone". I think his name was Mark.. Overall, they all are unfriendly at that location.

You can also include me under the BAD dealership for Del Amo Motorsports in Redondo Beach,CA (you already have their info it seems). Anyway about my issue with them. Through the last 6 years I have purchased 4 new motorcycles from them (trade-ups and 1 stolen veh replacement). 3 of the bikes were Ducati (one a new 748) so they got some bucks from me. Well when my new 748 had 2,500 miles on it the engine seized up due to bearing failure. I had the bike towed to Del Amo for warranty work, I never saw the bike again for 8 months (always waiting on a part??). I sued ducati under the lemon law and just won my settlement a short time ago. I know most of this is on Ducati, but Del Amo made approximately $60,000 in sales from me, yet they did not appear to work too hard to help me get my bike back or keep me with them. In fact I had to call them to get a phone # for a Ducati rep, as they kept telling me the rep had red tagged the parts for delivery. They never once called ME during the time the bike was in the shop to update me, yet the day the bike was fixed I was phoned everyday asking when I would pick it up from them. After I won my lawsuit I made them come to my house to pick the bike back up, they have never called me back or even offered to make even the slightest deal to keep me as a customer.

Why: If you don't have hours to waste with a salesman running back and forth to the manager then this is the way to go. Reasonable pricing if you buy online. Takes about 15 minutes to complete the deal. Drove to L.A. to pickup the bike just to see if the place was legitimate. To my suprise it was like every other bike dealer I had gone to, just larger inventory. Everyone was knowledgeable and friendly.

Del Amo Motorsports is the worst dealership in all of California! They lie and their sales reps no nothing about the products they are selling. We were looking to buy a 2002 Suzuki SV 650. We called them in advance and asked them if they had a 2002 naked silver Suzuki SV 650 because we had seen a picture of a silver Suzuki SV 650 on the internet somewhere. We talked to salesperson named Sam when we initially called and we were told they had one in stock. So we went down to their shop as soon as we got off the phone. When we get there, Sam tells us that they don't actually have it at the shop, but at their warehouse in the next city over but they would be able to get it to us within the next two days or so. So we signed a contract and put a deposit down for $ 6900.00 for a SILVER 2002 Suzuki SV650. The next day, Sam calls us and said the warehouse sent in the wrong color and they had a 2002 black Suzuki SV650 and asked if we wanted that one instead. Things seemed a little fishy so I called about 6-7 more Suzuki dealerships in California and found out there was no such thing as a Silver 2002 Suzuki SV650. Only the 2003 came in silver but those wouldn't even be released until another month later, so no dealership could possibly have one. If we wanted a black 2002 SV 650, we would have bought it at Orange County Suzuki because they had given us a really good quote and their sales rep was extremely helpful. So we called Del Amo Motorsports back and told them, "Look we were promised a silver 2002 SV650, we would either like a silver SV650 or our money back." He refused to give us our money back and offered to knock off another 300 dollars off the price instead because of their mistake. But we told him that if we wanted a black SV650, we could have gone to Orange County Suzuki and gotten it for almost 650 dollars cheaper so he should either match their price or provide us with the silver 2002 SV650 they promised us or give us a refund. Of course he refused and not only did he refuse, he was extremely rude concerning all this. So if you are looking for a motorcycle, DO NOT go to Del Amo Motorsports in Redondo Beach, California. The sale reps know nothing about the motorcycles they are selling, they will lie to just get you down there and promise you things they can't provide.

I bought a left-over 2002 F4i from them for a very good price and I was very skeptical if it was 'new' with zero miles or if it had been sitting out in a crate all winter. Just general speculation when a great offer is presented. The sales people where very curious, the deal went through flawless. I drove from SC to MS to pick this bike up and they had 100% of the paperwork done. I was in and out in 20mins flat on a busy Saturday. I highly recommend them. Great sales department.

Ellicott City MotorSports is an extremely BAD dealer! I bought a new 2002 ninja 500 from them. The first fairing started to crack at the windscreen mounting screws. Since it was cracking pretty bad and temps during the day were only in the 30's I didn't want to drive it the 30 miles to their shop. I offered to pay for them to pick the bike up, they said no and that I should take the fairing off myself. Taking the fairing off is easy and after 6 weeks the dealer finally got me a new fairing. But now I have to mount the new one myself. I mounted the headlight (bolts into the back of the fairing) and signal lights and let it sit on my dining room table until the morning. The four bolts were put on finger tight and a quarter turn. The next morning I noticed the plastic mounting tabs were completely crumbled. A complete brittle failure of the plastic. The plastic mounting holes of the headlight are fine. There was obviously something wrong with the plastic molding of the fairing. I took it back to Ellicott City Motorsports along with the headlight and brought them the broken plastic pieces so they could see it all and send it back to kawasaki. The service rep said they would take of it and call me. A month later I called and the service manager (Ken) said it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I asked why he didn't call earlier and he told me "I didn't want to be the one to make this call". He also admitted that they did not send it back to Kawasaki and that they didn't believe the mounting bolts were overtightened. Would you overtighten one bolt, completely crush the mounting tab, and then do the same thing to the 3 remaining bolts? Not likely, the service manager told me agreed, but when asked about getting a new fairing under warranty he changed his story and told me I must have broke the fairing and should have let them do it. After going back and forth about this for a couple minutes he hung up on me. There was no apology from any one at the dealership when I went to pickup the fairing and headlight, in fact the salesman told me I shouldn't be angry. I'm filing a complaint with Kawasaki and will probably file a claim at the courthouse.

Having recently trashed Parts411.com, I feel obligated to report that not every online business is out to rip you off. While I was dealing with Parts411, I ordered a flip-up helmet from MotorcycleUSA.com. The helmet arrived pretty fast (their standard method of shipping is 2-day FedEx, costing around $10). It was the right color and the right model, but, unfortunately, I ordered one size bigger. I picked up the phone and dialed the customer service. Since it was Saturday, and they're in CA, all I got was an answering machine. After leaving a message asking them to return my call, I made a mental note to call them come Monday.Just before 12p.m., as I was trying to remember to call MotorcycleUSA.com, my phone rang. A pleasant female voice said: "Hi, I'm Sandra from MotorcycleUSA.com. How can I help you?"I told her that the helmet was the wrong size. She interrupted me with : "Would you like a refund?" I said "No. I like the helmet, and I would like a smaller size ry willingly, I might add), I'm fine with that. (Even though they're in CA, their warehouse is in Medford, OR).Couple of days later my battle with Parts411 came to a halt. The credit card company said they'll look into it, which meanwhile left me without a full face Snell approved helmet. So, I took my business to MotorcycleUSA.com once again. The price for THH-T792 was about $5 more than at Parts411, but, what the hey.You can immediately see whether the part you're ordering is in stock or not. Nonetheless, MotorcycleUSA sent me an email, apologizing for not having it in stock.Three days later I received an auto-email that my "part has shipped". It took them 5 business days to get the backordered helmet and bring it to my door! Now, I've got a beautiful Snell-2000.

Had such good luck with these folks when buying OEM parts for my Concours that I traveled 166 miles (past around 10 Kawasaki dealers, some I'm sure were also good) to buy my 2001 ZX-6R from 'em. They have good prices for out of state parts orders, and apparently have a number of true enthusiasts working at the dealership. A few times when ordering parts by phone, there were special instructions/questions, etc, and they got it right every time! Unfortunately, this is a truly unique situation with the incompetence that seems to run rampant in many businesses these days. When I set foot on the excellent showroom floor, the (discounted) price of each bike was clearly marked at the top of each windshield. The ease with which I could deal with these folks knocked my other possible new bike choice (Yamaha R6) out of the running.

It appears this dealer took retaliatory action against me and my poor old (brand new) '85 600 Ninja. I had a minor warranty problem, which I was told by some who hung around dealerships to have the dealer fix, rather than do it my self. Just getting back into motorcycling, I listened to their advice, and carried my bike to my nearest authorized Kawasaki dealer (Olde Dominion). One of the employees at the dealership took me around the corner and tried to get me to take the bike elsewhere. At the time, I figured he just didn't want to deal with warranty work, but since Kawasaki's warranty says any authorized Kawasaki dealer can handle warranty work, I left the bike there as it was unrideable until fixed. Little did I know the employee was trying to save me from the owner's wrath and what was to transpire. To make a long story short, the owner dodged, weaved, and stalled as long as possible, keeping my bike for over a month before finally repairing it. It took multiple calls to Kawasaki Customer Service and filing a complaint with the VA Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services before I finally got my bike fixed. Kawasaki Customer Service actually told me to never take my bike to these folks again! Based on the service I received from Olde Dominion, I wonder why Kawasaki thought they had to tell me this? The bike's problem? A bolt had come loose on the left side of the crank and partially chewed it's way through the left side cover. The fix was to re-torque the bolt to new Kawasaki specs, put some Locktite on it, and replace the plastic cover. If Kawasaki had told me to do it my self, I estimate total repair time to be 15 minutes or less! Hey, it only took Olde Dominion over a month, and from what I understand, 'someone' at the dealership bragged about letting the bike set out in the weather the entire time! I've only set foot in this dealership twice since 1985 (looking only, as I would never buy anything from 'em).
