The SRNE Elitist Snobbery Promenade
On Labor Day, Tammy and I had SRNE founder Aaron and his wife
Marianne over to our new condo, along with longtime members and friends Chris
and Paige LaLiberte. Tammy wanted to have a party, so as to celebrate the new
place, and also to meet the people I frequently talk about. Me? I just wanted to
be left alone. Tammy promised to do all the cooking and such, as long as I
bought the food so it was a go. The party ended up being a great time, and we
all ate too much! However, a nice idea came out of it, too.

Ride the Cool Roads
I started this sportriding thing about 4 years
ago. My husband mentions he’s
been participating on this SRNE mailing list and they’re doing a group ride.
Well, I’ve been given plenty of suggestive reading while my husband has
graciously attempted to teach me this fine art. However, the first group ride is
somewhat frightening for me. I assumed everyone else would know more than me.
I was very wrong about that. Over
my first riding season, I met a great group of folks who shared their love of
riding and wealth of knowledge.

Ice Cream - Western Mass
A few new members met Aaron and I and we went on a ride looking
for ice cream. Is that really so bad? It actually was a very good time and we
met some new members of SRNE. This should be a regular thing!

MSF Experienced Rider Course for SRNE
Ken Condon and I try to hold one of these every year. We take
the standard Motorcycle Safety Foundation ERC and put a slight sport riding
twist into the program. The classroom has more a more sport riding slant to it,
and then on the range we hold a cornering class after the ERC is completed. It
always goes over very well, and every had a blast!

Motomarket - Acton, Mass
The main reason for this ride was to pick up some Honda Polish.
This stuff is just amazing and a very easy way to get a nice shine on your bike.
I brought the camera in so that I could get some photo's of Motomarket. Many
riders do not know what the place is about, so I figured I would show
them!

Formula One Grand Prix - Montreal, Canada
In June 2002, Montréal will play host to one of the Formula
1 races being staged in the world. A Formula 1 Grand Prix race has been held in
Canada almost every year since 1967. The first-ever Canadian Grand Prix was run
on Sunday, August 17, 1967 at Mosport Race Park, northeast of Toronto.

Track Day - Loudon, NH
Shrugging off a long, cold winter, it was finally time for Track
Day! With a full crowd of eager motorcyclists, beautiful weather, a new rider
skill level format and Tony's fine organizational skills this day proved to be
the best run track day SRNE has ever pulled off. Everyone had a great time, and
there was universal praise for how well the event was run.

Dyno Day - Webster, Mass
Thanks to Triumph rider Ken Mitchell, he used his great relationship
with New England Motorsports in Webster, Mass to help set this day up. Without
him, this event would not have happened. After a month or so of trying to get
schedules together, it was finally decided to hold this day on Saturday, May
4th. The weather cooperated for us and gave us a break in all the rain we've
been having lately. A nice, sunny day greeted the riders heading out.
